175th Birthday

On Friday 7th May 2010 members of Busby Parish Church gathered in the church garden to toast the 175th birthday of the congregation of Busby Parish Church which had been formed in 1835. From the garden they proceeded into the Hall where they celebrated the evening in traditional Scottish style with a ceilidh and fish supper.

The theme of the service of was one of thanksgiving to God for the 175 years of Christian witness in Busby. During the service, Mr. Whitley baptised Robbie, the youngest son of Rev. Jerry and Mrs. Michelle Eve.

After the service the congregation retired to the hall where a complimentary  buffet lunch was served rounding off a happy and memorable day.
